The pavilions began as sculptural volumes deconstructed from boxes. The motivation for this process was achieving spatial conditions to designate one box as public and one private. Later, they were integrated into the natural site, creating a river side retreat.

CHOREOGRAPHY & APPROACH
The pavilions were placed and oriented to create a narrative. The public pavilion’s transparency lures the inhabitants towards the main approach while making the private pavilion’s entrance more discrete.  One is enticed to continue the approach towards the boatdock, as they turn the corner and see their first full river view
